Weapon Forge is live

Main and secondary weapons now have a long-term upgrade path: Mastery from M0 to M10, plus up to three Shell Forge upgrades on a locked shell line.

Weapon Forge

The Weapon Forge lets you improve main and secondary weapons through two linked systems: Mastery and Shell Forge.

  • Mastery progresses from M0 to M10 and is the current Mastery level of your weapon. It requires Charge from your own kills.
  • Shell Forge strengthens the locked Shell line. Each line can receive up to 3 Forge Upgrades, which raise the selected Shell effect.

The Forge is available for main and secondary weapons only. Partner equipment, armor and runes are not supported.

Requirements

  • You must be within 8 fields of the Forge NPC.
  • The weapon must sit in the Forge Slot, be equipped in your Equipment Inventory, and have Shells.
  • Runes cannot be used as Forge targets.
  • Charge must be full before a Forge attempt. M10 no longer requires Charge.

Weapon Charge

Your equipped main or secondary weapon gains +1 Charge XP per personal kill. Current Mastery is shown next to the weapon's Max Damage, for example 2488[M3].

  • M0 → M1: 500 kills
  • M1 → M2: 1,000 kills
  • M2 → M3: 1,500 kills
  • M3 → M4: 2,500 kills
  • M4 → M5: 3,500 kills
  • M5 → M6: 5,000 kills
  • M6 → M7: 7,000 kills
  • M7 → M8: 10,000 kills
  • M8 → M9: 14,000 kills
  • M9 → M10: 20,000 kills
  • M10: no Charge required

Costs and success rates

Every Forge attempt consumes 1 Mastery Protection Scroll. Gold, Cella Powder, Stars and success chance scale with Mastery.

  • M0 → M1: 100,000 Gold, 50 Cella Powder, 1 Star, 100% success
  • M1 → M2: 250,000 Gold, 80 Cella Powder, 1 Star, 80% success
  • M2 → M3: 500,000 Gold, 120 Cella Powder, 2 Stars, 70% success
  • M3 → M4: 1,000,000 Gold, 180 Cella Powder, 2 Stars, 60% success
  • M4 → M5: 2,000,000 Gold, 250 Cella Powder, 3 Stars, 50% success
  • M5 → M6: 4,000,000 Gold, 350 Cella Powder, 1 Star, 40% success
  • M6 → M7: 7,500,000 Gold, 500 Cella Powder, 1 Star, 30% success
  • M7 → M8: 11,000,000 Gold, 750 Cella Powder, 2 Stars, 20% success
  • M8 → M9: 15,000,000 Gold, 1,100 Cella Powder, 2 Stars, 10% success
  • M9 → M10 and M10 reforge: 20,000,000 Gold, 1,500 Cella Powder, 3 Stars, 5% success

Fail: materials are consumed, Shell and Mastery stay unchanged, Charge is kept.

Success: the locked Shell gets +1 Forge Upgrade, Charge resets to 0, Mastery increases by 1. At M10, Mastery stays at 10 and further successes only add Shell Upgrades.

Shell lock and reroll

When a weapon enters the Forge, one eligible Shell line is locked at random. Runes and lines that already have 3 Forge Upgrades cannot be selected. A Mastery Reroll Scroll picks another eligible line with a different effect (needs at least two eligible lines).

Shell Forge bonuses

Each successful Forge raises the locked Shell. Example: 38(+1) is a base of 38 plus one Forge Upgrade. Each line caps at 3 upgrades, then the lock moves to another eligible line if one exists.

  • Enhanced Damage (1): +10 per Forge
  • Elemental Fire / Water / Light / Shadow / All (18–22): +10 per Forge
  • HP / MP Recovery per Kill (24–25): +10 per Forge
  • SP Recovery / Precision / Focus (48–50): +10 per Forge
  • All other Shell effects: +1 per Forge

Shell-only, M10 and reset

A normal success grants +1 Shell Forge Upgrade, +1 Mastery and resets Charge. If Mastery is already higher than the total Forge Upgrades on your Shells, the next success is Shell-only: the Shell upgrades, Mastery does not increase. That is how you rebuild Shell upgrades after a Mastery Reset Hammer.

The Mastery Reset Hammer strips all Forge Upgrades back to base Shell values. Mastery is kept. Replacing or rerolling the Shell itself is different: Mastery resets to M0, Charge resets, and all Forge bonuses are gone.
